Groundbreaking scheduled for Friday on new Watertown City Hall project

WATERTOWN, S.D.–Watertown will hold a groundbreaking ceremony on their new City Hall this week.
City Manager Amanda Mack says it’ll be held Friday morning at 10 a.m.
Earlier this spring, Huff Construction of Aberdeen was awarded a $4.2 million contract to remodel and expand the former Wells Fargo Bank building on Maple Street into a new City Hall.
The expansion will include space for a city council chambers.
The city paid $1.3 million for the building, which has sat empty for several years.
The scheduled completion date of the project is May 1, 2025.
