Man killed in motorcycle crash in McCook County

MONTROSE, S.D.–Authorities in McCook County are investigating a motorcycle crash on Saturday afternoon that left a 55-year-old man dead.
The South Dakota Department of Public Safety says the driver of the motorcycle was traveling south on Valley Road about six miles north of Montrose.
The driver stopped at a stop sign, accelerated quickly away and continued accelerating before losing control going into a curve, and entering the west ditch.
The motorcycle rolled several time, the driver was thrown, and died from his injuries.
His name has not been released yet.
