WATERTOWN, S.D.–The Watertown Police Department has been given authorization to add an additional patrol officer to the payroll.
Police Chief Tim Toomey says recent circumstances have left them short staffed….
Dealing with a short staffed department is nothing new….
As Watertown grows, the police department will need to grow with it…
The city council voted unanimously to authorize the police department to hire an additional patrol officer.
The council also approved a special event beverage and wine license for the Watertown Chamber of Commerce for Cookin’ on Kampeska, and they approved a retail on-sale license for Dempsey’s to serve alcohol for the duration of this summer’s “Thursday Night Live” events.
